The cost of movies and a babysitter added on is just too much for a basic movie unless it is something like Lord of the rings, then it is more like going to an event. Hehehe. If I like the DVD, then I buy it. Is Drew absolutely fab in this one? She is one of my favourite actresses.

Tue, February 20, 2007 - 3:48 PMI saw it yesterday and it was cute and charming but would definitely be fine for a DVD rental. I actually loved the music in a sort of cringey nostalgic way. For me the 80's was High school & beginning of college so I related very much - especially to the horrible clothes that I have to admit that I actually wore. Drew Barrymore was really good & so was Hugh Grant. -

Wed, February 21, 2007 - 9:56 AMLOL - I just talked to my sister (another 80's survivor) and she took her 13 year old daughter to see it. My niece said she loved it and Hugh Grant is "gorgeous" and the video reminded her of the "old" ones she saw on "I love the 80's." Her mother and I are considering the upside of selling her to the gypsies.
And yes - I also had that song as an ear-worm - scary!
